The Assembly Place to debut ‘AI-powered’ co-living property at Lorong 22 Geylang
Kwan included that the precinct has significantly established itself as a key co-living center in Singapore, supported by solid connection, standard of living offerings and a special cultural character.
Under TAP, the development will have around 80 areas. As TAP’s flagship AI-powered co-living property, it will include intelligent facility systems, data-driven neighborhood administration capabilities and curated resident programming. It will also have TAP’s first committed AI Lab– a shared space created as a high-performance work space and collaborative community hub.
Char Yong (Dabu) Association is expected to hand over the real estate to TAP on June 1, with the neighborhood living operator focused to commence procedures at the new place around the end of October.
TAP deals to improve the real estate right into Singapore’s “very first AI-powered co-living development”, developed to deliver a “technology-abled and community-centric living experience”.
The real estate is surrounded by a mix of offices, residential developments, heritage associations and popular local eateries.
The building will certainly be TAP’s fifth location in Geylang, reflecting the team’s conviction in the area’s possibility, claims Eugene Lim, its executive supervisor and CEO. “Geylang is one of Singapore’s most culturally layered and historically substantial areas, and we have viewed it develop gradually as a city fringe place, with far better connection, even more variety in its resident base, and increasing facilities.”
The AI Lab are going to organize weekly build evening hours where homeowners deal with personalized AI projects, once a month demo days to showcase their job, and sessions including visitor speakers from AI-related sectors. Other efforts will consist of engineering workshops and mentorship pairings “in between tech-savvy and non-technical locals”.
It is fitting, after that, that TAP’s newest venture in Geylang will be its most ambitious yet. “We are demonstrating what the potential of community living can seem like, in an area that deserves that kind of financial investment,” Lim claims.
TAP is going to lease the property from Char Yong (Dabu) Association– among Singapore’s oldest clan associations– for 15 years, with an option to restore the lease for a further 5 years.
ETC, which represented Char Yong (Dabu) Association, helped the proprietor secure the occupancy contract with TAP. “Provided the property’s residential use and the advancing profile of Geylang as a lively city-fringe area, we saw solid potential in arranging it for a co-living concept,” claims Velina Kwan, co-head of business space and retail at ETC
Making up a four-storey block and an eight-storey block, the real estate has an overall gross floor space of around 26,889 sq ft across 2 adjacent buildings. The block at 27 Lorong 22 Geylang presently houses private residential walk-up apartments, whilst 29 Lorong 22 Geylang works as the premises for the historic association which serves the Dabu Hakka community.
The Assembly Place (TAP) has become part of a tenancy agreement with Char Yong (Dabu) Association for a dual-block property at 27 and 29 Lorong 22 Geylang.
